Quick & Easy Dewatering
Unlike conventional structures that are abandoned after use and left waiting for cleanup from environmental crews, the ROWD is moved along the right-of-way to each dewatering location until the filter material is exhausted. A piping inlet and valve secured to the filter bag traps sediment-laden water, so it can be transported and used until exhausted, then replaced without disruption to the surrounding straw bale or filter sock material. The sturdy steel frame contains the straw bale or filter sock material during transport and use, eliminating partially-used material left behind, collapsing structures and manhours to build and rebuild dewatering structures. This decreases waste and allows the sled to maintain peak performance throughout the project in multiple locations.
